Ear Tags for Research and Wildlife Conservation Purposes

wildlife conservation ID tagsIdentification tags are an important part of researching animals so that they can be identified if recaptured. Most people recognize our self-piercing tags as ear tags for mice, rats, and livestock, but our customers use the Monel 1005 series on a variety of animals that you may not have thought of for different wildlife conservation and research purposes.

Looking for small metal colored ear tags for wildlife study. Have used your small tags e.g., 1005-1 and 1005-3 and they work great, but I can’t find anyone that makes a similar tag that is colored! The issue is that I need to be able to identify the animal by its ear tags while it’s in a live trap. Nearly impossible to read the numbers on the tags under these situations with a wild animal. Colors would be a huge help! I’ve tried painting them myself but the paint chips off easily. Can you help? Thank you!

Do y’all have tags available for non-research consumers. I have three squirrels that I am rehabilitating and I would to track there progress when they are released.
